Boyd Worsham brings nearly four decades of construction industry experience to his role as an expert for WorldSkills USA. After winning an award for outstanding performance in his high school carpentry program, Worsham launched his career at The Haskell Company in Jacksonville, Fla., where he spent 38 years rising from carpenter helper to Vice President of Construction Support. In 2018, he took on the role of President at the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) and was promoted to CEO in 2020.

Worsham has been involved with SkillsUSA for 17 years and has served as the NLSC Carpentry Competition Technical Chair for over a decade. When asked what serving as a technical expert means to him, he says it is “the perfect opportunity to help competitors excel at something important to them while building their confidence on an international stage.”

Worsham will serve as the WorldSkills Competition Expert in Carpentry. In this role, he is responsible for planning and managing the technical aspects of the competition.
